HUMANE Seminar
Ghent University, Belgium
Friday 24 to Saturday 25 April, 2015

Research and Education After
Severe Budget Cuts

Universities all over Europe are confronted with budget cuts, many of them - especially in the southern and eastern part of Europe - face severe cuts.

- How can we keep up the main processes of education and research after the loss of a considerable part of the budget?

- Should we look for money from outside the usual sources, for example industry, funds, paying students?

- Is it possible to keep up the standards we were used to?

- Can we learn from good practice elsewhere?

These topics will be discussed in the next HUMANE Seminar, which will take place at Ghent University in Belgium.
